“A
good adjustment is like having a pair of angel hands guiding you
deeper into your yoga practice”.Lisa Black, Owner/Director
What could take you years to understand in your body could just
take one precise, effective, supportive adjustment from a well-trained
teacher or teaching assistant. Learning to assist students in a
challenging Vinyasa yoga practice takes clear intention, complete
focus, and agility of mind and body. Join Lisa Black and Peter Avolio,
Co-Directors of SHAKTI Vinyasa Yoga East as they teach you the corrective
and deepening full-body adjustments of the 53 asanas and 11 series
within
the 90 minute Baptiste Power Vinyasa Yoga sequence. This intensive
course is essential and effective training for all new or experienced
teachers, aspiring teaching assistants, or for those who would like
to deepen their understanding of the art of asana. This program
serves as the pre-requisite for becoming an active SHAKTI Vinyasa
Yoga Teaching Assistant. Completion of this comprehensive 26-hour
course will give you a solid understanding of alignment and form
as well as specific hands-on adjustments for all of the foundation
postures. You can apply everything you learn here to teaching any
style of yoga and this course is a launching pad for your path to
becoming a strong teacher of Vinyasa yoga or where ever your journey
leads you.
