"I was fortunate to discover
Shakti in Ballard over 5 years ago. My yoga practice had become
stagnant and I was excited to try the new studio my friend and
yoga teacher told me about. The moment I walked in, I knew I'd
found my home. Now that home has expanded to the Shakti East studio
with an even larger community of students, teachers and staff.
It's been a rewarding experience to meet so many new friends."
-Valerie
"I am so grateful that
I stepped into your studio this year and found a graceful, loving
place to grow, explore, and experience joy and community. Thank
you for your love and presence in my life." -Susan
COMMUNITY EVENTS
SHAKTI continues to create alliances with
local businesses and community outreach programs.
In the past we have done a beautiful partnering with Fremont
Spine and Wellness, offering our students FREE chair
massages after class. This allows us to support our fellow businesses
and offer special and unique benefits to our student body.
On an ongoing basis, we continue to support local schools
and organizations by offering procurement items in the
way of yoga gift certificates and wellness packages. Please contact
us for more information.
If you have any thoughts or volunteer organizations that you’d
like us to join forces with, please let us know. We are always
willing to listen for ways that we can extend our humanity!

Tara Project-Summertime Yoga and Leadership Program for Teen Girls "Coming Summer 2012"
Please join us next summer 2012 for a very special teen leadership program combining yoga,

belonging and commitment to their communities. Our goal is to inspire and empower teen
girls ages 13 to 18, and to have FUN! We will do all of this through the many lessons learned
on the yoga mat in this newly-created 8 week program. This program starts July 11th and ends August 20th
