We offer yoga classes in the Power Vinyasa
Yoga tradition, linking powerful breath with dynamic,
flowing movements. Often referred to as meditation in motion,
vinyasa yoga cultivates: strength, endurance, flexibility, balance,
focus, and serenity.
Baptiste Power Vinyasa Yoga
Founded by Baron Baptiste, this style of yoga is a dynamic combination
of strength, sweat and spirituality. Baptiste Power Vinyasa Yoga
heals as it detoxifies and electrifies. This accessible, yet challenging
and flowing form of yoga will lead you to a state of transformation
-- it will sculpt, tone and hone the muscles of your body and
your mind. Classes are based on a structure of 53 asanas
in 11 series within a 90 minute class. Within the consistency
of this proven structure, there are many modifications and variations
that serve the needs of all experience levels. Get ready to take
your practice seriously, but yourself lightly as you explore your

SHAKTI Vinyasa Yoga
Created and founded in 2003 by Lisa Black, this powerful style
combines many elements of the Vinyasa yoga tradition including
philosophy, chanting, music, pranayama (breath regulation), vinyasa
(flow), arm balancing, back bending, inversions, hip opening,
moving meditation, and deep relaxation. This style incorporates
philosophy, postures, and sequencing influenced by master teachers
Baron Baptiste, Shiva Rea, and Ana Forrest. Classes are based
on the central theme of “wave-like” fluidity and multi-directional
sequencing using a circular sun saluation or “mandala namaskara.”
The dynamic pulse and creative movements will challenge your mind
and body and leave you feeling free and uplifted. Pre-requisite:
Intermediate postures and sequencing--students should have at
least 6 months experience with vinyasa yoga. The yoga studio is

INTRO Series
This comprehensive, introductory 8-class series is designed for
beginners or students new to SHAKTI and Baptiste Power
Vinyasa Yoga. You will learn the basic alignment and
form of the 53 postures that compose the 90 minute Baptiste Power
Vinyasa Yoga practice. We explore yoga philosophy and helpful
breathing techniques that inspire and empower you on and off your
mat. Each class progressively builds on the previous one, preparing
students to understand the progression of the 11 part series within
the Baptiste flow. A senior instructor and teaching assistants
lead the class and support you with personal hands-on adjustments
and guidance. Many people enjoy taking the INTRO Series many times
in order to soak up all the information and apply the knowledge
to their practice. Demonstration, discussion, personal hands-on
adjustments, and guided practice provide you with a solid foundation
of this dynamic style of yoga. The yoga studio is heated to a comfortable
84-86 degrees.

HOUR OF POWER
This high energy, 60 minute intermediate class has steady pacing
and dynamic variations. It is based on a condensed version of
the Baptiste Power Vinyasa Yoga practice that may include arm
balancing and inversions. Be prepared to move, sweat, stretch
deeply, and have fun! The yoga studio is heated a comfortable
88-90 degrees.
REJUVENATION
Yoga for EVERYONE! In this 75 degree moderately heated environment we will build strength while releasing into deep stretches. With an emphasis on deep breathing, this class is perfect for anyone. Practice is open and accessible to pre/post natal students and those with injuries that need a little nurturing as well as practitioners of all ages. Have you ever had a day where you know you need some yoga but you just want to take it easy? Do you have some family/friends visiting but don’t think they would like sweating quite as much as you’ve grown to love it? Are you nursing an injury and just need to take it easy? Never fear, Gentle Flow Yoga is here! In this class we will let go of the chutarunga’s and embrace more ease and less heat! This hour long class will give you the opening without the fire of your usual Baptiste practice.
